Lauren Murphy

Lauren is originally a Northern Beaches girl, who relocated to the country town of Barham on the border of NSW and Victoria 12 years ago with her husband and children.

There she set up and ran a successful physiotherapy practice for over a decade, which was awarded the 2015 Gold Award for excellence in Customer Service from the Australian Business Quality Awards.

Lauren and her family recently returned back to the beaches and we have been fortunate enough to have her join us at Frenchs Forest Physiotherapy.

In her career thus far, Lauren has accumulated a wealth of experience in a diverse range of areas. After completing her degree at Sydney University in 1993, she worked at Manly and Lady Davidson Hospitals before moving into private practice.

In addition to treating patients in private practice, Lauren has worked as a team physiotherapist for football, netball and rugby clubs; provided back care and balance and falls prevention classes; as well as providing therapy at a number of aged care facilities.

Lauren has also studied further, with post-graduate training in Aged Care, Falls Prevention, Sports Physiotherapy, Taping and McKenzie Neck and Back Treatment.  She has a very “hands-on” approach to treatment and enjoys working as a physiotherapist immensely, both in terms of caring for the patients, and helping them achieve their goals.
